Year Day Celebration of the 2022 Batch – A Memorable Milestone
The Year Day Celebration for the 2022 batch of Palar Agricultural College was held on 7th February 2025, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of the batch. The event was a vibrant celebration of the batch’s two-year journey, culminating in the official unveiling of the batch’s name, “Rebirth Rebellions.”
The celebration began with the traditional rendition of Tamil Thai Vazthu, followed by a captivating Bharathanatyam dance by Keerthika and Monisha, paying homage to the rich cultural heritage. The auspicious lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, including Principal Dr. N. Tamilselvan and General Manager Mr. Srinivasan, symbolized the dispelling of darkness and the arrival of enlightenment.
Kalaichelvan, a respected student leader, welcomed everyone to the event, and the dignitaries were honored for their support in the students’ academic journey. The student speech, delivered by co-pilots Sathriyan S. and Harini D., reflected on the cherished memories, friendships, and experiences the students had over the years. The Principal, Dr. N. Tamilselvan, addressed the gathering, motivating the students to continue striving for excellence in all aspects of life.
Mr. C. Anbarasu, the batch coordinator, shared the transformation and growth of the batch, followed by an inspiring Presidential Address from the Chairman, Thiru K.C. Veeramani. The speech highlighted the hard work and dedication of the students, urging them to continue their pursuit of success.
A fun and nostalgic student AV video brought joy and laughter, showcasing the journey of the 2022 batch, while gifts were distributed to faculty and staff as tokens of appreciation. The highlight of the day was the unveiling of the batch logo and banner, representing the beginning of a new era and encapsulating the batch’s mantra, “TO TIME TO RULE THE KINGDOM.”
The celebration was further enriched by various cultural performances, including dances, songs, and skits, reflecting the immense talent and vibrant spirit of the batch. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by K. Janani, expressing gratitude to all those who made the day memorable. The National Anthem was sung, symbolizing unity, and a cake-cutting ceremony wrapped up the celebration, marking the joy of the occasion and the birthdays of several batchmates.
In conclusion, the Year Day Celebration for the 2022 batch was a resounding success, full of warmth, camaraderie, and a sense of pride for the students, faculty, and staff. It was an unforgettable day, marking the official start of the 2022 batch’s new chapter as “Rebirth Rebellions.”
